Unless otherwise agreed between the husband and the wife, the husband may deny the paternity of the child born to the wife before one hundred and eighty days of the marriage, and if the husband has died before the birth of such a child, his rightful person may deny it.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (1), if a man marries a woman knowing or having reason to know that she is pregnant before marriage, the paternity of the child cannot be denied merely because the child was born before that period.
